This past weekend, my good friend Diamond came over to help me make this delicious lemon poppy seed bundt cake, drizzled with lemon glaze. Of course, the recipe came from the Great British Baking Show recipe book, so we knew we'd be getting something good. Plus, my kids will eat anything with lemon zest in it, so I didn't need to worry about where all the food would go!
The main ingredients for this bundt cake were pretty standard, but the inclusion of almonds and poppy seeds with the zesty lemon glaze are what made this bake unique. The total bake time, including prep, came out to roughly an hour and fifteen minutes. The key to achieving a strong, opaque white glaze is time — we had to let the bundt cool off for a decent amount of time before putting the icing on the cake.
